This sparkling wine is produced from a native grape, the Durella, an ancient variety grown since 1733 in the growing area of Verona. The name of this new high quality sparkling wine for high-end consumers is closely tied to the history of the Durello variety, one of the oldest in the province of Verona, documented in the Lessini Mountains as early as the first half of the eighteenth century. The layout of the label and composite lettering of its name are intentionally a cross between classic and modern, reflecting the spirit of Cantina di Soave. Settecento33 also includes a traditional method sparkling wine that is currently ageing on lees. It will come on the market as soon as it is done ageing. Settecento33 Lessini Durello DOC is the newest Charmat method sparkling wine by Cantina di Soave. Its delicate fruit ranges from fragrances typical to the Lessini mountains, like elderflower and hawthorn, to the inviting citrus notes of citron and yellow grapefruit. The captivating palate and unmistakable freshness make it a perfect all-round wine, great as an aperitif and for fun celebrations.
