Maculan Cabernet Breganze DOC 2015

For three generations the Maculan family has been selecting and vinifying the best grapes in Breganze, an enchanting village, set like a small jewel at the foot of the Alps in the Veneto region. The high plains of Asiago offer natural protection and create an extremely mild climate that favors the cultivation of vines and olives. It isn't a coincidence that in the 500s, the Venetian nobility already preferred to spend their summers in this area, sojourning in the splendid villas perfectly designed by the great architect, Andrea Palladio.

Exposure and type of land: volcanic and tuffaceous hills
Grape variety: 80% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Cabernet Franc
Vine layout: fermentation in stainless steel tanks with several pumping over
Aging: in stainless steel tanks for one year
Alcohol: 13% by vol.
Color: ruby red
On the nose: concentrated aromas of ripe blackberries and hints of savory herbs
In the mouth: medium-bodied on the palate, with finegrained tannins and silky texture.
Pairs very well with hearty first corse such as meat ragouts and roasted or grilled meats.
Serving temperature: 14/16°C.
